Silk, Sea, and Sand roads, building civilization

Trade was a major stepping stone that made our world what it is today, diverse and international. In my personal opinion, I felt Silk Roads were the most progressive when reaching out to different people. Sand Roads stayed more along the Niger River, not giving them a wide variety of people to interact with. Sea Roads branched out more interacting with different people from different Islands and were able to actually carry more shipment. Yet, Silk Roads, I felt its trade flourished more and made a wider impact on the diversity with the people the merchants interacted with, even though they were on horseback. Silk Roads started a new way of interacting with different cities and states. It eventually was very well known by the people and they protected their travelers and merchants. Women were the main logic behind the trade system in the Silk Roads, showing how they could be the same as men and run the business. Women were well respected by the merchants and travelers. Showing, how the Silk Roads were good to evolve our people into the Modern Era, bringing diversity and culture into our society. Spreading our culture throughout the states and interacting with different people making our world international.

The Rock Edicts

Emperor Ashoka was a brutal murder who felt gilt for the crimes he committed turning him into the Buddhist religion. That is when the emperor made rules in his empire for everyone to see. He wrote them on rocks to make a statement that these rules were permanent and to be taken seriously. He made rules that one should not sacrifice another human nor kill in general, even though he murdered a numerous amount of people. He believed that people should practice their religion even if it was not the same as his. Everyone could glorify their own religion. He believed that one should honor their mother and father, one should not disobey them. The emperors new rules were the road to live in peace. He wanted future generations to live by these teachings. Unfortunately, these rules diminish within history, but we have learned over time that peace can only last for so long. The emperor surprised me and he shows that bad people can do good and have a change of heart. He realized his wrong doing and he fixed the bad in his life. He did not need the acceptance of everyone but he knew that he was doing good with his life. His gilt gave him an enlightenment of peace. This example shows that is one murder could do good in his life and influence all his people, people going down the wrong path can change their lifestyle to succeed. Perhaps these people should not be forgiven so easily, yet people can give them a second chance if they decide to live in the light of their God.
